With over 25 years’ experience in workplace design at a number of leading London consultancies, Matt Jackson joins the BDG architecture + design team in the position of Associate Director.
Matt’s work draws on an extraordinary portfolio which includes numerous milestone projects in the industry and revolutionary designs for large retailers, top legal firms and financial service providers. With a firm belief in the strength of workplace strategy and the science that can influence a stronger result, Matt enjoys every opportunity that can further develop a better solution for the users of any space and processes that happen within it.
From 1997 to 2011, Matt developed his career at MCM Architecture (formerly Marshall Cummings Marsh), leaving as a Studio Design Director. Matt was involved in many significant projects for the practice, including 3 award winning projects. Matt then joined Gensler as Design Director, leading their EMEA and Firmwide Professional Services Firm Practice over several years. At Gensler, Matt led notable projects for a wide variety of clients including GSK, Capital Group, Bose, UEL, Debervoise & Plimpton, Omnicom, Medidata, and BCO shortlisted projects for Nokia and Aon’s landmark move to 122 Leadenhall Street.
Matt has published work in US Interior Design magazine and Architects Journal and has spoken at events such as Estates Gazette Workplace Trends and the Estates Gazette Workplace Summit, the City Property Association and Alternative Legal Trends Conference. Matt is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is a member of the British Council of Offices.
