BoxLife by Scavolini has been shortlisted in the SBID International Design Awards. Designed in partnership with Yorgo Lykouria, creative director of Rainlight Studio, the innovative concept is one of the finalists in the Contract Furniture category.
Conceived as a solution for urban living, BoxLife allows a small space to serve a variety of purposes. The modular furniture system can transform a room from a kitchen, to an office, to a dining room to a sleeping space – all within the same footprint. Retractable and sliding doors are used to reveal or conceal elements as and when they are required.
BoxLife is also ideally suited to office environments and co-working spaces. Its eye-catching range of finishes will add a stylish touch, and, with a kitchen that can be completely concealed behind doors, any after-lunch mess can be hidden from clients. This makes it an important tool for the contract furnishing market – a fact that has been recognised by the SBID Awards shortlisting.
The SBID (Society of British Interior Design) International Design Awards has established itself as one of the most prestigious events in the global design calendar. The Awards recognise, reward and celebrate design excellence across a broad range of categories; and entries come from all over the world. A panel of industry-leading experts along with a public vote will decide the eventual winners.
To find out more, visit the SBID Awards website: sbidproductdesignawards.com. The public vote closes on 30 September. Owing to the ongoing situation, there will be no SBID Awards event this year and the winners will be announced online on 23 October 2020
