Lemon yellow or Klein blue stripes, cane work, terracotta pottery, bamboo and straw, lime-coated. Made In Design has created a selection of trendy Neo Riviera pieces, whose sophisticated simplicity will bring sunshine to your interior. A real immersion in the French Riviera of the 50’s.
The new Neo Riviera lifestyle trend brings to life the spirit of the French Riviera of the 1950s. Lemon yellow or Klein blue stripes, canework, terracotta pottery, bamboo, straw, or lime-coated are inspired by Mediterranean light and illuminate your home with a solar atmosphere that is both very simple and sophisticated. “This trend is characterized by the arty touch it emanates. The heritage of the great masters, from Matisse to Cocteau, who came to the south for inspiration, is very much alive. Light, raw materials, shimmering patterns and solar colors: it’s almost like being in an artist’s studio!”, explains Pauline Glaizal, Head of Style at Made In Design.
Made In Design has developed a very precise selection of trendy Neo Riviera pieces, recognizable by their raw and hand-crafted expression. Like the Serax designs: the canework and Capizzi fabric armchair, the Sculpture table lamp in hand-made plaster, the Marie pot in recycled paper, as well as the salad bowls offered in two sizes are all inspired by the profound Mediterranean atmosphere originating from their materials. “Serax is a brand very close to the material. The collection of papier-mâché pots and lamps, designed by Marie Michelssen, is handmade by craftsmen and is reminiscent to the walls in white stucco of the South”, adds Pauline Glaizal. In addition to this selection, a side table and cane work buffet, as well as two terracotta table lamps, all signed Bloomingville, a rattan floor lamp, or even rustic but timeless seating from the same brand. Finally, three pieces designed by Maison Sarah Lavoine: a set of two coffee tables, a table lamp and a wall mirror in rattan in solar and distinctive hues of orange and Klein blue.
