Made in Italy kitchen and furniture brand Minacciolo is now available in the UK for the first time and exclusively stocked at RB12, a new design space and concept store in Shoreditch providing a home for exquisite global design brands. Minacciolo is a family run Italian business that has produced high quality kitchens and furniture for bespoke turnkey projects from natural, environmentally friendly materials for over 40 years.
RB12 opened to the public on 5 March 2018, making it the first business to take up residence in the new Shoreditch Village development in east London. Arranged over two floors, the RB12 design space showcases a variety of design pieces for every area of the home, including bathroom and bedroom furniture, living room accessories, kitchen items from functional appliances to tiles, and stylish pieces for outdoor spaces. RB12 aims to reinvigorate the London design scene with inspirational design, excellent quality, personal service and stimulating sensory experiences.
Showcased at RB12, Minà is one of Minacciolo’s latest collections, which combines the brand’s tradition and technology in a new-concept modular and multifunctional kitchen, available in two versions: wall-mounted and island.
Minà is inspired by the traditional Italian cast-iron wood-burning cooking stoves, yet incorporates all the very latest features required of a professional kitchen. The units can accommodate ovens, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers and drawers fitted with racks and trays or recycling containers. Its unmistakable Tomato red knobs resemble the shape of the valves mounted on old boilers, but have been daringly modernised and serve as handles to light and regulate ovens, hobs and taps. Every Minà kitchen is specially custom-made and marked with the name of the customer who commissioned it.
The Mammut extractor hood, also on display at RB12, combines the functionality of industrial exhaust fans with a quirky style that makes it a truly unique design object. Mammut has a flexible arm that rotates 360 degrees, and its extraction ‘head’ has built-in LED lights for a perfectly illuminated work surface and can be moved in every direction using a practical handle.
Mammut is available in three versions – wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted and floor-mounted – and comes in a mini-sized version perfect for compact kitchens.
Stocked at RB12, Tinozza is an innovative freestanding barrel made of oak and available in three different versions: Wash, featuring a black Solid Surface basin and an optional tall black tap; Work, with a black Solid Surface worktop; and Cook, featuring a gas, induction, Tepan plate or ceramic glass hob.
Each version of Tinozza has a convenient compartment to store objects and supplies or removable recycling containers. The cooktop and worktop versions are equipped with integrated concealed wheels, making Tinozza flexible to use inside and outside.
