For its 12th consecutive year, GROHE returned as Founder Partner for Europe’s biggest hotel design event, Sleep, which took place 21-22 November at London’s Business Design Centre, Islington.
GROHE welcomed over 800 guests to its exclusive VIP lounge and stand across the two day event; guests from international global design and architect firms to hospitality and interiors press who came to unearth the latest trends and product innovations in the hospitality sector. New for 2017, the luxuriously styled lounge was the result of a collaboration between GROHE, UBM and Willmott Dixon Interiors. The room provided an area for VIP hospitality associates to network in a relaxed enviroment, complete with stylish, contemporary furniture by Koleksiyon and lighting by Chelsom. A bar, provided by Ligna Group, served up a selection of delicious beverages including hot drinks made with filtered kettle hot water from GROHE’s Red tap and filtered still, medium and sparkling water from the Blue Home tap. This made for an excellent pit stop for guests exploring the show.
SVP Global Project Business at GROHE, Christopher Barger comments on the event: “The Sleep event continues to provide a vital opportunity for us to engage with the hospitality industry and key architectural practices. The array of GROHE product innovations exhibiting at the event was incredibly strong, and as the Founding Sponsor, we hope that GROHE helped to provide a source of inspiration for the home market and international audience“.
The brand showcased its most luxurious and innovative products designed to cater for Europe’s most prestigious and discerning hotel projects. Highlights included GROHE‘s forward-thinking SmartControl Concealed shower system which offers clever behind-the-wall technology thanks to the Rapido Smartbox, making for a clever and highly efficient installation. It also features intuitive push-and-turn operation and a three-way diverter that enables multiple head shower spray patterns to run simultaneously. The stand also showcased its impressive F-Digital AquaSymphony spa system, Sensia Arena shower toilet, and the Essence Colours range; a complete range of brassware and accessories in an array of stylish and luxurious metallic finishes, such as Warm Sunset, Graphite, Nickel and Cool Sunrise. The Essence Colours collection highlights the move toward individualised design, and how colour can accentuate an interior space and enhance the luxury experience for a guest.
Prior to the event, GROHE had significant presence at the AHEAD Europe awards on Monday 20th November as the event’s headline sponsor. Presenting the main prize in the ‘Europe Hotel of the Year’ category, GROHE was delighted to present The Ned London as 2017’s winners of the prestigious accolade.
